Prior to making Aliyah, he worked for the preeminent Washington, DC law firm of Wilmer Cutler & Pickering (now Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr), where he arrived after a federal appellate clerkship and a graduate fellowship for the study of European and French law at the University of Paris. He holds a law degree from the University of Chicago Law School, where he studied under Barack Obama and members of his administration and Professors Cass Sunstein, Richard Posner and Alan Sykes, among others, as well as degrees from the Humboldt University of Berlin and Harvard College.
He deals with complex commercial law, corporate law, wills, trusts, and estates, and tax planning issues. He brings a sensitivity to the needs of global businesses and business people and private individuals, whether in drafting contracts, crafting the merger or acquisition of companies, acting as mediator and arbitrator in complex international litigation as well as before Rabbinical Courts, or helping private clients create tax-saving international wills, trusts, and estates, from complying with complex government regulations (including the US Environmental Protection Agency – EPA, Food and Drug Administration, FDA, and the European Union CE Mark for Medical Devices as well as cosmetics) and devising regulatory strategy to helping to craft intellectual property strategy and defense. He has successfully engaged in numerous complex negotiations in almost a decade-and-a-half of combined, US, Israeli, and international law practice.
David brings an intellectual approach to the table as well, having published numerous scholarly articles and lectured at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Faculty of Law.
* David is licensed to practice by both Israel and the State of New York.
